Blogger Shine will feature bloggers who embrace the opportunity to shine their light for others. Do you know a blogger who shines then send us their info and we’ll see if we can feature them.
This week we’re putting Miss Ashley in the Blogger Shine spotlight. Ashley keeps me in the know about celebs, fashion and music over at Glam & No Labelz. She’s also on Twitter & Facebook. So after you read this and get to know her a little better, head on over to her house and get your support on! Oh and her birthday is Monday so make sure you send some love her way.
Who is Ashley?
Ashley is a recent college graduate who is working hard to accomplish her goals. One main goal being that I’m working on my nonprofit organization for youth girls in my community. I have a vision and I’m working hard to make it a reality.
How and when did you get bitten by the blogging bug?
I’ve been blogging off and on for about 3yrs. I use to journal my thoughts on the past popular site Xanga. I thought it would be great to have my own platform to voice my opinions about whatever it is I feel the need to say.
If you weren’t blogging what would you be doing?
If I weren’t blogging, I probably would be reading more often. Now that I’m done with school, I have a lot of free time for reading books I ACTUALLY want to read.
Where can we find you when you’re not blogging?
Doing volunteer work, thinking of a master plan & tweeting away lol.
What’s your theme song?
That’s hard to answer Lol.
If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring?
Chapstick, a case of water, my iPhone (I would find a way to keep it charged)
If you could be a character from a book, who would you be?
Winne the Pooh. He’s always been my favorite.
Tell us your guilty pleasure. We won’t tell.
My guilty pleasure as of now is Dulce De Leche ice cream. I’m not suppose to be eating stuff like that right now. Shhh, don’t tell.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Hmm, owning a business, a life coach.
In honor of African-American History month, name three people of African descent who you’d like to have dinner.
Angela Davis, Angela Simmons, and lastly Iyanla Vanzant. These women are phenomenal in my eyes. Each individual has characteristics that are great to have.
Any last words or thoughts?
Thank you for interviewing me for your blog Spinks. And to her readers, please reach beyond your circumstances. Don’t allow them to keep you from your goals and what you’re passionate about.
