The environment is important to me. It seems that over the last five years, I’ve really come to understand how everything around me affects my overall being. As a result, I’m slowly transitioning to a more Eco-friendly lifestyle. I’m even following the environmental health track in my master’s of public health program.
The things that I learn about toxins and how it pollutes the earth and our bodies has forced me to make wiser choices about the products that go in and on my body. Since Goo is with me at least three to four days a week, I buy many products for her as well and was eager to try products from The Honest Company.
The Honesty Company is a company started by actress Jessica Alba and Christopher Gavigan. Their goal is to provide a healthy start for their children and aid other parents in doing the same for their children. Let me add that I love how stylish they are while doing it.
The box pictured above is a free sample box (you pay the shipping) that you can order via the website. It contains honest laundry detergent, shampoo & conditioner, healing balm, face & body lotion, and hand soap. They also have another option to order samples of diapers.
I’m not sure about you, but I’ve never seen another company like this. Oh, and I’m not just saying that because I had an opportunity to review the products. When it comes to Goo’s health I am over protective. I do my best to avoid toxins and other health compromising chemicals and compounds. When it comes to my Goo, I’d give a kidney, an eyeball, my left leg…. You name it and I’d probably do it.
Of course, I tried the goodies out before I let Goo use them. I love the smell of them especially the lotion that contains olive oil, Calendula and aloe. Ahhh…. Then there is the hand soap that smells like lemongrass. I love all things lemongrass. I’m sold…

The Honest Company was started by a mom and a dad who, like many modern parents, were increasingly worried about products made with questionable chemical ingredients. But the alternatives they found were often expensive, inaccessible, bland, or ineffective. In response to this clear need for something better, they created The Honest Company to ensure that parents (or anyone for that matter!) could easily find natural and non-toxic eco-friendly products that are beautiful, effective, and affordable. From customized product bundles to diapers and wipes to an ever-expanding line of cleaning and personal care products, you can find everything you need at Honest.com and have it delivered directly to your front door.
