Tech Talk: Talking Anya Dress Up Augmented App Review

by Notorious Spinks on 11.30.2012

If you’re anything like me then you can appreciate a good app.  One of the reasons I went from my beloved Blackberry to the iPhone was because I wanted a better & larger variety of apps.  But things have changed … I went from loving grown-up apps to always adding kid-friendly apps.  Sigh… Moms, I know you can relate.

It seems that Goo loves my phone more than I do.  Most of the time, I’m on my laptop and she has my iPhone playing some game.  The funny thing is that she’s only three and operating my phone and apps better than I do.  Don’t judge me… I try to keep her some educational and fun apps installed.  This really helps when we are out running “boring” errands to the post office instead of unboring errands to the “toy store.”

This week we got the chance to review and test out the Talking Anya Dress Up and Pet Puppies app from Sprite Labs.

On first site of Anya, Goo was in love, not to mention we’ve fell in love with augmented reality apps lately.  They are so fun and scary at the same time.  LOL!

Goo loved playing dress up with Anya and something is telling me that she’ll soon figure out how to order more outfits with my iTunes account.  I give her a few days.  LOL! Don’t worry though there are plenty of free outfits to choose from too.

The thing that Goo loved most was the dog.  I even loved that we got to name the pup.  Of course we named him Spinky.  I even thought that was my favorite until I hit a button and Anya started doing the Macarena dance.  Goo thought it was so funny that I knew the dance and now I’m teaching her the Macarena.

If you’re looking for a fun app for the family then the  Talking Anya Dress Up and Pet Puppies app from Sprite Labs is a must-have.  If you have numerous devices, like iPhone & iPad then the kids can play together with the augmented reality.

You can also take photos with Anya.  Hopefully this cold bug will be gone from out house next week and we’ll get to play around with the photo taking and make a card to send out to everyone.

If you’d like to get in on the fun, head over to the iTunes store and download the Talking Anya Dress Up and Pet Puppies app.  It is FREE and fun.

This is a partnered post and all opinions are mine.

Thanks for sharing a cute app. As I write this, I am on my laptop and 3 of the 4 kids are fighting over my Kindle fire, I totally relate to your iPhone situation.
