For centuries, scholars have puzzled their minds seeking the answer to one simple question, “Why do good girls love bad boys?” Those geniuses had no clue, I guess. They even stopped by and asked lil’ ole me since Aristotle, Socrates, and Plato ‘nem couldn’t come up with a good enough answer. Well, I just told them like this, “I don’t know why those good girls like bad boys. They must be crazy or something.” As for me I’m an unofficial member of the Bad Girls Club and I just like boys…good, bad, geeks, scholars, roughnecks and all. Shhhhh!
But seriously, I’m really a good girl but sometimes I seem to have a bad girl alter ego. Her name is Nikki and it seems that she loves to live vicariously through those bad girls who grace us via reality television. She gets uber excited to watch the Bad Girls Club. Don’t judge her…we see you watching too!
Season after season, producers search for the baddest girls around to release all of their ratchetness for my entertainment. You can even judge me…but I’m watching. But I have to admit, some of those girls ain’t so bad but that’s another post all together…
So this season, seven bad girls have moved to Atlanta into the Bad Girl House to tear the city off the hinges…I’m afraid that Atlanta will never be the same again, never. But we shall see if they have what it takes to take Atlanta by storm because Atlanta possesses its own kind of ratchetness. ‘Dem bad girls might not be ready for those Georgia peaches.
My favorite bad girl of all time is Tanisha Thomas from season 2. Week after week, Tanisha would never let me down with the ratchet. My favorite line from her is, “Pop off!” It didn’t matter what happened, Tanisha was ready to POP OFF! Big or tall, short or tall, it didn’t matter because Tanisha would pop off. She’s my girl and I was sad to hear that her dad died this week. Rest in peace Mr. Thomas.
I think we all have that bad girl who lives in us but we choose to let her lie dormant. Deny if you want but there is…so go ahead and admit it. Tell the truth and shame the devil!
