My Morning Coffee with Mr. Coffee & Millstone Coffee #coffeejourneys #shop #giveaway #cbias

cb shop disclosure #shop #coffeejourneysMy days are long and I start early. As a full-time graduate student, entrepreneur, aunt and blogger, my days are jam-packed with work. I have ‘school’ work. I have ‘pay the bills’ work. I have ‘Auntie ‘Londa’ work. I work, baby! That’s why my morning coffee is a must have. However, there is nothing like the aroma of freshly brewed coffee in the morning anytime. The smell makes my heart dance a jig. It’s my miracle drug, especially in the morning, because I’m NOT a morning person.

But, once my feet hit the ground, I tend to my soul. I pray, read some Bible verses on my iPhone, breath and get my day started. Afterwards, I look over my to-do list, check emails and sort my calendar as I French kiss my hazelnut flavored coffee thanks to Millstone® coffee.

My memories of coffee go back to when I was a child. I would spend time with my grandma in the summer, and I got to go to the grocery with her. The one item that I always remember on my trips to the market is the coffee. There was something about the smell that intoxicated my nostrils as my granny would use the in-store machine to ground her coffee. It smelled like heaven and the smell of coffee still reminds me of her.

During our trips to the grocery store, I always stop by the coffee isle. Not just for the coffee grinder memories, but for the coffee. One of my favorites is Millstone® coffee and they recently redesigned their packaging. It looks pretty chic and trendy, just for a girl like me.

Now when it comes to coffee makers, I’m a drip drip girl. I own a single cup maker, but for those days when I’m working really hard to meet deadlines, the drip coffee maker is best for me. I can drink a pot in a few hours. Don’t judge me…

The coffee maker that has me head over heels is, the Mr. Coffee® 10-cup Optimal Brew™ Thermal coffee maker. It is modern and sleek at the same time. Did I mention that I can have a cup of coffee in less than seven minutes? This is awesome for those days that I have early appointments, phone conferences, video chats, etc. The features that I’m really digging on this bad boy are the stainless steel carafe (one less thing for me to break) and the built-in water filtration (more coffee, less chlorine).

Want one? You can find both of these products in your local Walmart stores. But, if you keep reading you might be able to get one delivered to the doorstep of your penthouse…

After my day of answering calls, video chats, emails, writing and all that other good stuff, I end my day with a cup of coffee to wind down. There’s just something about coffee that warms my spirit… kind of like letting me know that all is well, even when the Universe is chucking lemons at me, all is well.

I start the coffee machine when I wake up and bring a cup with me on my way to drop my son off at school. I usually have my 2nd cup before noon!

Coffee is the nectar of the Gods and that is saying a lot for me as I am from London and it is all about the tea. I need my coffee!

Coffee always makes me sleepy, but it is SUCH a great treat for when I want to cuddle up with a book and be cozy. We need another coffee make anyway since mine was broken by my MIL. LOL!

For some reason coffee doesn’t have that “wake up” effect on me. I think it soothes me more than anything. That’s probably because I like mine with cream and a big hunk of bakers chocolate so it tastes more like a dessert than coffee!

There is something wonderful about going to the kitchen and pouring yourself a big mug of hot coffee, taking a sip and saying, “Aaaaahhhhhhhhhh.”

Oh I can drink coffee! We actually use a French press because we don’t have a lot of counter space but I need more than 2 cups at a time. 2 big cups, not those puny sized cups.

My coffee journey starts whenever something is usually calling to me for longer than I can stay up. It doesn’t provide me with the caffeine that it does everyone else, but good flavors and a hot cuppa will keep me going. We also need a new machine because my MIL accidentally broke ours several Thanksgivings ago.

My #CoffeeJourney usually starts off with having a cup while I check my emails out on my patio with breakfast. Then in the late afternoon I might have another cup to get my day going.

I have it first thing in the morning and throughout the day.
And it’s always a pleasure to drink my first cup out on the balcony.
